Deer Isle barn

Built: circa 1832
Four families have lived on this land since Winn Joyce settled here in the 1830’s. Between 2000 and 2010, this cattle barn was renovated and restored, but unfortunately half the barn was too far gone and could not be saved. What remains maintains all the original hand-hewn timbers and floors.
Also of interest is the French Bellefleur heirloom apple tree in front of the barn. It is known to date back as far as when the property was originally settled.
